Mathematical Logic

Research in mathematical logic involves aspects of set theory related to the method of forcing such as the theory of Boolean algebras, partial orderings and combinatorial set theory, as well as applications of set theory in some areas of analysis, for example when nonseparability plays a role.

After taking an introductory logic course, interested students can engage in guided study.
