COVID-19-related research in CEGE
“Inspired and innovative engineering for the benefit of society” is the vision of the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geo- Engineering. It drives CEGE’s everyday approaches to teaching, service, and research. Inspired and innovative engineering for society is more than a slogan in CEGE. It is how we prepare engineers—new graduates and faculty researchers—to respond to the changing needs of our world.
Here we share how the commitment to work for the benefit of society drove some CEGE researchers to search out responses to issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic. COVID-19-related research projects led by professors in CEGE highlight how these researchers embody the vision of CEGE.
