School of Math Receives Two New Scholarship Funds

The School of Mathematics has been the recent recipient of two new scholarship funds. The Jean Roberts Fellowship is to be awarded to graduate students. It is part of an estate bequest to the University by Jean and her sister Ruth.

The Rasmussen Family Scholarship is directed towards undergraduate math majors with an actuarial emphasis. The donor, Erik Rasmussen, received a University of Minnesota Bachelor's degree in mathematics with an actuarial emphasis.

The University, Department, and faculty are grateful for and inspired by the generosity of its donors. These scholarships will play a significant role in fostering and educating the next generation of mathematicians.
