Recent M.S. graduate Pallavi Mitra's education and passion for autonomous systems turned into a career as a computer vision engineer.

Our research aims to develop human-like AI systems, explain and generalize black-box machine learning algorithms, and solve real-world healthcare problems. Upper: Newly invented deep learning and explainable AI models add vision and reasoning capabilities to machines, and can distinguish correct (green) and incorrect (red) decision making. Lower: Deep learning models reveal intricate eye-movement patterns from people on the autism spectrum, revolutionizing mental health screening.
