Please take note on things we are able to discuss.
What we can cover:
- Application requirements and deadlines
- General degree requirements
- Funding options
- Tuition structure
- Connecting with faculty
What we cannot cover or offer:
- Pre-screen application materials (i.e. statement of purpose, transcripts, previous coursework)
- Application decisions for individuals who previously applied
- Estimate on chances of admission
- Long term course planning
- Group advising appointments
- Application fee waivers
Our advising team is working with our current student population of approximately 400 students in addition to a number of other regular job responsibilities, and because of this, are only able to offer limited appointments for prospective students. While we'd like to meet with everyone, we do not have the capacity to do so. We want to stress that meeting with one of our graduate advisors does not grant any special advantages when it comes to making admission decisions. For those who are not able to meet with our advising team in a timely manner, we strongly encourage you to attend one of our virtual info sessions, and email any questions you may have to us at csadmit@umn.edu.
