Professional Background
Liia Butler joined the Department of Computer Science & Engineering in 2025 as an assistant teaching professor. She received her PhD in computer science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2025, and earned her MS from the institution in 2019. Prior to her time at the University, she served as graduate teaching assistant at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
