Qianwen Wang joined the Department of Computer Science & Engineering in fall 2023 as an assistant professor. Prior to joining the University of Minnesota, Wang served as a post-doctoral researcher at Harvard University in the Department of Biomedical Informatics.

Justin Levandoski (Ph.D., 2011) earned the award for his work on “Bw-Tree” during his time at Microsoft. He is currently the director of engineering at Google.

Samuel Fountain joined the Department of Computer Science & Engineering in January 2023 as a teaching specialist. He finished his M.S. in computer science at the University of Minnesota in December 2022 and is starting his Ph.D. program this fall.
