Yang He receives the Riedl TA award

Yang He

CS&E Ph.D. student Yang He has been awarded the John T. Riedl Memorial Graduate Teaching Assistant Award for 2020. This award recognizes graduate teaching assistants whose efforts have helped other students succeed in the classroom.

He was selected for going above and beyond to assist his students. Yang is a very attentive and thorough instructor who works diligently with students until their questions are answered. When the University changed to remote learning during spring semester, he held additional online office hours in the evening to be even more accessible to students.

“Yang He deserves to win this award because he is an exceptional graduate TA,” shared one of his students. “Throughout my time taking this course, I have frequently sought his service due to the fact that he is very kind, very informative, and extremely helpful.”

Please join CS&E in extending our congratulations to Yang He for his dedication in helping our student body in their academic and career pursuits.
