CSE Charts
The CSE Charts widget allows you to add an accessible chart onto a page. Charts can be added to any page type that allows widgets, including Advanced Pages, Unit Landing Pages, News, and Feature Story.
Features
- Chart data can be manually added or uploaded using a CSV.
- There are several chart types to choose from, including:
- Area
- Bar
- Bubble
- Column
- Donut
- Gauge
- Line
- Pie
- Scatter
- Spline
- Preview charts before publishing
- Visitors can download the chart as an image, PDF, or CSV.
- Many options available to customize the display and labels of the chart
How to Add a Chart on a Page
- Add a widget to a section and select the CSE Charts widget.
- Fill out any necessary fields
- The widget title will appear outside of the chart's box. Use the "Chart title" field in the display section to adjust the title inside of the chart's box.
- Select your preferred chart type
- Select how categories are identified.
- If "first column" is selected, it will identify the dataset labels based on the first column in the table. Leave the very first cell blank. See example of first column data entry and display.
- If "first row" is selected, it will identify the dataset labels based on the first row of the table. Leave the very first cell blank. See example of first row data entry and display.
- Enter your chart data or upload a CSV
- Adjust chart settings like title, subtitle, labels, legends, and more
- Optional: Preview the chart before saving/publishing
- scroll up to the top of the widget editor, and in the "Preview" section, press the "Update Preview" button.
