TA Duties

Printing/copying discussion exercises, quizzes, exams, etc.

Reserving a conference room for grading (or other TA duties)

  • Visit this link to reserve a conference room
  • CS&E conference rooms remain locked at all times. Stop by the front desk (Lind 324) before the time of your reservation to collect a key/have a staff member let you into your reserved room.
    • Be prepared to leave your UCard at the front desk as collateral when borrowing a key. Return the key immediately once you unlock your room.

Other info

DRC exams

  • DRC exams are exams for students who receive accommodations from the Disability Resource Center.
  • Paper exams are delivered to the CS&E front desk (Lind 324) about one business day after the exam takes place. If exams are returned electronically you’ll need to get the electronic copy from the course instructor in order to grade.

UNITE coursework and exams

  • UNITE Distributed Learning facilitates online and long-distance learning course sections.
  • Paper coursework and exams are either delivered electronically or to the CS&E front desk (Lind 324). Ask the course instructor for details regarding their UNITE sections.

Gradescope scanning

  • Unlike previous terms, the CS&E front desk no longer provides scanning services for paper coursework and exams. This means that the department office printer cannot be used for scanning. All scanning requests should be processed through the University Survey & Assessment Services (USAS):
    • The course instructor is responsible for requesting Gradescope/USAS scanning.

Course mailboxes

  • Course mailboxes are requested by course instructors and located in the Student Services Office (Lind 324). Contact the course instructor if your course does not have a course mailbox, but you would like one. All coursework pickup and drop off should occur between the regular business hours listed above.

Textbooks for TAs
